Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Specialist works within an assigned functional area(s) to provide human resources expertise to the organization(s) in all aspects of the human resources function. Responsible for the administration in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), audits, benefits administration, onboarding and employment policies.





To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should be able to demonstrate and provide the following:

  • An Associate’s degree or greater in Business, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position is required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of previous benefit administration experience.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs. General knowledge of employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, training, and recruitment, preferred.
  • UltiPro experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in HRIS software and record keeping.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve challenges.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
