    JOB SUMMARY

     

    At POET, it is our mission to be good stewards of the Earth by converting renewable resources to energy and other valuable goods as effectively as humanly possible.  Every day, our Accountants play a critical role in partnering with internal stakeholders to achieve the mission of POET by driving a greater understanding of financial knowledge and business acumen through daily interactions.  A typical day for this position may include contributing to the team by documenting financial transactions, preparing account entries, compiling and analyzing results, and making recommendations to the business units.

    To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: 

    • Degree in Accounting or Finance required:
      - Bachelor’s degree, or

      - Associate’s degree with a minimum of one year of related experience
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
