    The Supply Chain Management Intern will support the Supply Chain Management team with various functions including procurement, delivery confirmations, logistics, and qualifications.  The Supply Chain Management Intern will work under guidance of the Supply Chain Management team to complete assignments and develop knowledge and skills.


    • Assist with supply chain management tasks including, but not limited to:
      • Procurement
      • Tracking
      • Logistics
      • Receiving
      • Supplier & contractor qualifications
      • Data management
    • Research potential new suppliers and contractor and assist them in the qualification process.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of supplier scorecards.
    • Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.
    • Maintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community.
    • Other duties as assigned. 


    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Junior or senior level status majoring in a related field of study; preferably in Engineering, Business, or Economics.
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications. 
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy as well as the ability to adapt to change.




    This position is largely self-directed and requires a thorough understanding of company policy, procedures, and values.  Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments.  This position operates in an office environment. 


    Occasional travel up to 10% may be required.


    Specific physical requirements may include:

    • Sitting for approximately 90% of the time while working on a personal computer.
    • Occasionally lifting weights of fifty (50) pounds or less.
