    The Data Analytics Intern will design, develop, modify, document and deliver high‐quality reports that meet the business’s specific needs. This will include gathering business customer data, analysis of data, reporting and building data visualizations and dashboards, primarily using Oracle Analytics Cloud.  The Intern will design the layout of a report or visualization by interpreting the requirements that management, business and sponsors provide. The Intern will perform a variety of reporting assignments requiring knowledge of established report programming procedures and data processing requirements.

The Data Analytics Intern must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment and is expected to anticipate and meet assigned deadlines, clarify expectations, digest feedback in a positive manner, and display a responsive, flexible and thorough approach to work. 



    • Designing and maintaining data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems.
    • Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine.
    • Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
    • Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
    • Collaborating with developers, analysts, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.
    • Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.
    • Designing, developing, testing and implementing enterprise-wide reports using SQL and Microsoft tools with a data visualization layer in Oracle Analytics Cloud.
    • Designing disaggregated tables and setting up hierarchies within MS SQL stored procedures and queries.
    • Working with the Information Technology, Financial Analyst Team and Other Finance clients to prioritize and rationalize the reporting needs/requirements.
    • Working with internal teams to better understand technology needed to create business process efficiencies.
    • Strong programming skills with understanding of project cycles, software development environments, and source control techniques.
    • Sound judgment and able to come up with solid solutions and recommendations to a wide range of complex problems.



    • Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics, etc. and pursuing a Master’s degree program in Business Analytics.
    • Technical expertise regarding data models, data warehousing, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, Python, or ETL frameworks)
    • Strong analytical skillswith the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
    • You are self-motivated, flexible, and manage assignments independently and with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
    • You earn a GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • You are eager to learn, highly detailed, organized, and communicate well orally or in writing
