    The Talent Acquisition Partner works with POET leaders to identify talent acquisition needs and develop world-class strategies to attract and select the best talent including the development of workforce plans, talent pipelines, managing the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and strategic recruitment programs and projects.  This role is responsible for full life cycle recruiting activities and managing the candidate experience from attracting and engaging talent to onboarding.  The Talent Acquisition Partner is approachable and makes connections with people through warm, engaging conversations with a strong commitment to results.  Service excellence is critical in delivering a positive experience that excites prospective talent to begin the next chapter of their career with POET!

     

    This role reports to the Talent Strategy Manager and works closely with our Talent Development, People and Culture, Benefits, and Payroll teams within the CARE Team.

     

     

    TYPICAL PARTNERSHIP ACTIVITIES

     

    The Talent Acquisition Partner is viewed as a strategic partner to leaders within POET and a subject matter expert in recruitment and selection best practices.

     

    Talent Acquisition

    • Conduct phone and in-person interviews, evaluate, and advise hiring managers on prospective candidates with top notch customer service and professionalism at all times.
    • Ensure timely and professional communication to all candidates through the ATS.
    • Create and maintain job descriptions, written in an appealing format to attract top candidates.
    • Manage POET’s pre-employment background check and pre-employment testing process to ensure compliance, consistency and efficiency. Act as a liaison between POET and prospective candidates to ensure a positive experience.
    • Champion the Team Member ReferALL program, including monitoring program requirements, tracking referrals and payments as well as promoting the referral program internally.
    • Lead and enhance POET’s internship program. Partner with leaders to develop intern recruitment strategies to meet short and long-term talent pipeline objectives.
    • Manage and advise hiring managers on POET’s relocation and mobility program including housing resources, relocation vendors, and team member experience to ensure POET’s program is competitive and supports the goal of attracting top talent.
    • Track, create, and analyze metrics on key recruitment and various people data as requested.
    • Utilize POET’s ATS to the company's advantage, create and manage job requisitions, and assist with upgrades or new module implementations.
    • Identify and stay current on trends in the marketplace that impact recruitment.
    • Assist and/or lead special projects and cross-functional CARE team strategic initiatives as assigned.

     Strategic Partnership

    • Partner closely with the Talent Scout and key stakeholders to support proactive recruitment initiatives which may include; attending career fairs, networking events, posting job advertisements, sourcing candidates, coordinating informational interviews, researching recruitment trends, etc.
    • Partner with leaders and CARE team members to identify current and forecast future recruitment needs.
    • Partner with various stakeholders to analyze business goals and identify appropriate short and/or long term talent acquisition solutions.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to create and implement career-related communication strategies; publications, blogs, advertisements, videos to highlight POET opportunities and ensure a consistent company brand.
    • Partner with leaders to attract and select the best talent by supporting the recruitment process from start to finish.
    • Act as a recruitment resource and advisor to all hiring managers, including supporting training for first time hiring managers.
    • Partner with the Talent Development team on internal career advancement opportunities for current team members. Collaborate on training initiatives that relate to talent acquisition and retention.
    • Collaborate with CARE team members to develop and support the onboarding process of all POET team members, participating in on-boarding initiatives as needed.

    STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE 

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in the area of Human Resources, Psychology, or Business.
    • 3+ years of full life cycle recruitment experience is required, including non-exempt and exempt recruitment experience and displaying a deep understanding of the recruitment function and industry trends.
    • Executive-level recruitment experience preferred.
    • Highly organized with superb time management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and complete projects within an expected time frame.
    • Proven self-starter with a can-do attitude.
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a customer service mindset.
    • Ability to develop close professional relationships and establish trust.
    • Demonstrated practice of a high level of confidentiality.
    • Ability to independently make decisions and/or recommendations to resolve problems.
    • Knowledge of UltiPro, iCIMS or other HRIS and ATS systems.
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.  

    BONUS POINTS 

    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
    • Facilitation and training experience with large and small group meetings.
    • Experience providing regional Human Resources support, including supporting 24/7/365 operations and/or a manufacturing or processing environment across multiple locations. 

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • This position is largely self-directed and requires a thorough understanding of company policy, procedures, and values. Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments.  This position operates in office environment. 
    • Travel, with some overnight stays, is required. It likely averages 10% of your time.
