The POET Never Satisfied Internship openings are for Summer 2025. We post Internships in September with the intent to have interns selected by January 1st each year.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Intern’s primary responsibility will be to assist the Quality Assurance Manager in bringing Quality initiatives at POET to fruition. This person will assist in initiatives to align POET’s quality systems and infrastructure in an atmosphere of continual improvement. Activities will involve finding solutions, taking on challenges, and thinking strategically.

 

A TYPICAL DAY

  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with efforts ranging from metric evaluation to system optimization.
  • Be creative as we are constantly working on new ideas and process improvement activities.
  • Work on multidisciplinary teams to find the right solutions and tools for Quality Assurance activities.
  • Foster a quality culture.
  • Work with POET’s bioprocessing facilities to improve processes and streamline information flow.
  • Assist with improving and revising POET’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Coordinate with partners in IT to optimize tools and best practices.
  • Maintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community.
  • Since we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skill may be put to a lot of other uses!

 

STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or you’re entering your Senior year of school, preferably with a major or focus in a science related field of study.
  • You have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change.
  • You communicate effectively in writing and in person.
  • You have the ability to understand technical and day to day operation of a bioprocessing facility.
  • You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You’re capable of learning new programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
