JOB SUMMARY:

 

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes? If so, we are looking for a skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team.  In this role, you will have the chance to work directly with some of our great suppliers and customers of our business.  You will also memorialize these interactions in our general ledger and supporting systems as your work plays an integral role in maintaining our customer service and cash flow, while also providing the foundation for building our financial statements. This is an on-site role located in Wichita, KS and is not open to remote locations.

 

DURING A TYPICAL DAY

  • Import freight invoices into transaction system and process for payment
  • Record general payable invoices in GL from vendors
  • Apply disbursements to vendor accounts
  • Issue checks to vendors
  • Prepare ACH documentation for vendors
  • Reconcile and review expense reports for proper documentation
  • Maintain and update documentation for your role and look for ways to improve the process
  • Since we are all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!

 

 

REQUIREMENTS: WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in accounting or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office including MS Excel and Outlook
